Christmas Thoughts

Some words about what Christmas is to me are: Loving thy Neighbor, Sharing, Caring and Giving. We have fought through 2 years of Covid and have had the fallout. I have never seen so many "mean" people in my lifetime; many have no forgiveness or kindness left. I am not saying everyone is like this, but seriously kindness costs nothing; share it with others. Let others know they are cared for and respected. It doesn't mean you have to "like" them—just common humanity.

So how to remember how we were, forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. It is one way. Remember, we do NOT know what that other person has been through. Try and be understanding and forgiving.

More words on what Christmas is to me, it is a "celebration" of life, family, and friends. It is the time to reach out to those less fortunate to make them feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. This year I had to learn a lot of forgiveness and learn to let go. This is hard for nurses as we tend to want to "fix" it. Some things you can't fix. So I reached out and helped in RL at a local soup kitchen, bringing a bit of humanity back into my life.

So I am hoping you all had a good Christmas. May it have been blessed with family and/or friends. May you have a roof over your head and a warm place to stay. Hope you got stuffed (sorry had to)... with Turkey or Ham or whatever your traditional food may be.

Blessed are those who believe.
